Buffalo, NY - The D'Youville softball team returned to the postseason this past weekend and several players had major impacts to help them get there.
Freshman outfielder Jackie Langer continued to be one of the biggest and best bats in the AMCC This past week. In four wins last week, Langer combined to go 7-10 with four runs scored, six RBI, three walks, and two stolen bases.
Throughout the entire week (six games), Jackie hit below .333 in a game once and had a hit in five of six games. She stole five bases those six games as well and overall hit .526 with a .591 on base percentage and a .684 slugging percentage.
Alexa Haberer, Softball - Haberer pitched in six games, starting four and went 3-1 in those four starts. Alexa got three straight wins last week with 19.0 innings pitched, allowing six earned runs and striking out 12 in her three wins over Hilbert, Pitt.-Bradford, and Mount Aloysius. Those three wins allowed the Spartans to return to the postseason as the fourth seed in the AMCC softball tournament. She also added three RBI, two hits, and a run scored in six games last week.
