Buffalo, NY - Coming off a career performance last week, freshman forward Noah Denz has continued to increase his role on the D'Youville men's basketball squad early in his young career.
Denz is coming off a game against Penn State-Altoona on Saturday that saw him tally a career highs in points with nine and rebounds with seven. In 30 minutes of play, Noah went 4-11 from the field and 1-3 from three as he tallied three blocks, three assists, and two steals.
Through eight games, Denz has scored five or more points five times and shot 40% or better five times. He has been a strong rebounder for the men with five games of three or more boards and has been impressive on the defensive end with one game of four blocks and at least one steal in each of the last seven games.
Noah has started four games during his freshman season, playing in all eight. He is averaging 4.3 PPG and shooting 41.2% from the field. His 3.1 RPG are fifth on the team with his 1.3 APG being fourth. In addition, Noah's 1.3 SPG is tied for third on the team and his 1.0 BLG leads the Spartans.
At East Aurora High School, Denz played four years of basketball and four years of soccer. Noah played four years of both sports and was an ECIC III First Team player and an All-WNY Honorable Mention for basketball.
An Exercise and Sport Science and DPT major, Noah is the son of Bill and Donna Denz.
