Buffalo, NY-Fredonia's Tyrone Clarke converted an old fashioned three-point play, a layup and a foul shot, with five seconds left to play and the visiting Blue Devils finished ahead of D'Youville 75-74.

The Spartans had a chance at the win but a layup at the buzzer did not fall.

D'Youville took a 38-32 halftime lead and early in the second-half extended the margin to 12 points. A Fredonia 14-2 run halfway through the second frame turned a potential blowout into a tight game.

Sophomore guard Marcus Clarke (Olean, NY/Archbishop Walsh) poured in a career-high 30 points before fouling out late in the second-half. Clarke was 11-23 from the floor (4-9 from three-point range) and has scored 75 points over the last three games.

Freshman Corey Mis (North Tonawanda, NY/North Tonawanda) had his finest game to date with 16 points. 12 of those points came in the second-half.  Third-year center Julian Reed (Cheektowaga, NY/Union-Endicott) went for 12 points and 6 blocked shots. Reed is the only Spartan this season to score in double-figures every game and has blocked 14 shots the last two games.

D'Youville will host RIT Saturday November 30 at 3:00 p.m. in the College Center Gym.
