Buffalo, NY-Men's basketball player Jon Gemerek (Lancaster, NY/Depew) and women's basketball player Sarah Marino (Buffalo, NY/Holy Angels Academy) were named as the D'Youville College representatives on the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference All-Sportsmanship Team in their respective sport.

The student-athletes named to the All-Conference Sportsmanship Team must consistently demonstrate a high level of ethical conduct, respect and fair play in both practice and competition, whether on the sidelines or as an active competitor. To honor this important core value of the conference, AMCC student-athletes in men's and women's basketball, men's and women's swimming and diving, and women's bowling recently nominated 33 of their teammates to be honored as members of the the All-Conference Sportsmanship Team. These individuals are selected by vote of their teammates.

This is the second-straight season that Sarah Marino has been named to the All-Sportsmanship squad.

In the fall, AMCC student-athletes in seven championship sports also selected 58 of their peers for recognition as representing the highest level of sportsmanship for their teams. Spring sport nominees will be announced in May. Here are the Spartans named to the 2013 fall AMCC All-Sportsmanship Team in their respective spot.
