Buffalo, NY – The D'Youville men's basketball team continued on their recent skid in conference play as they fell to the Penn State-Behrend Lions by the final score of 70-51.

Scoring was sparse in the first half of play, especially early on. After five minutes of play, the two teams combined for seven points with Behrend leading 5-2. After another five minutes of play, the scoring increased to 11-9 Behrend with Devon Camel (Cheektowaga, NY/Cheektowaga) scoring five straight points for the Spartans.

It remained a close, low scoring game as the half wore down. The Lions led 15-12 with just under eight minutes to go in the first. D'Youville was finally able to catch the Lions on a Juan Miguel Rosales (Guatemala City, Guatemala/Village School) at 19-19 before Behrend would heat up. A 11-0 run from the Lions would close out the first half as they took a 30-19 lead into halftime.

Behrend maintained their 11-point lead over D'Youville to begin the second half as they were ahead 35-24. The lead for the Lions grew to 14 with 11:20 to go in the game as the Spartans struggled to get their deficit to under 10. As the game continued on, the Spartans were unable to get any traction on offense.
