Buffalo, NY - Following his historic week out on the West Coast, senior guard Jeremy VanDuluitgaarden (Verona, NY/Vernon-Verona-Sherrill) of the D'Youville men's basketball team has been named Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Player of the Week for the second time in three weeks.
VanDuluitgaarden became the fifth player in program history to score 1,000 career points last week as the team played a pair of games in the northwest. The men started off their week by playing nationally ranked Whitworth where Jeremy scored 13 points to go with 10 rebounds for his first double-double of the season.
To follow on Wednesday, Jeremy scored his sixth point of the game in the eighth minute of the game off a converted and-one for his 1,000th career point. He ended the game with 21 points and nine rebounds in the game as the men concluded their West Coast trip.
Jeremy is currently the top scorer in the AMCC with 17.0 PPG and is fifth in rebounding with 9.0 RPG. He is experiencing career highs in points, rebounds, FG%, and has started every game. Earlier this season, Jeremy scored a career high 32 points against Hilbert.
