VanDuluitgaarden then hit back-to-back threes to send the men up six. "I was really pleased with how we played today," said head coach Earl Schunk. "It probably was our best 40-minute effort of the season on both ends of the court. My guys were aware of Greensburg's offensive talent and I think for the most part, they kept their focus defensively, which in turn got our offense going."
Nwaekeke had his most efficient scoring day of the season. The senior scored 23 points with five rebounds off the bench to lead the team in scoring, shooting 10-13 from the field and 3-5. Sharp and Heard each were extremely efficient as well as Sharp tallied 14 points with a team high three steals and Heard scored 13 with a team high six assists. Both shot over 50% from the field.
VanDuluitgaarden tallied 19 points to go with a team high nine rebounds with Grant Beyer (Williamsville, NY/St. Joe's) scoring 16 points to go with six rebounds, four assists, and three steals. The next game for the men will come against a familiar foe as D'Youville will travel to Greensburg, PA to face the same Bobcats on Monday, January 21 at 3:00pm.
