Golf Concludes Day One of AMCC Championship

Warren, OH - The D'Youville golf team completed day one of the AMCC Championship on Sunday afternoon at Avalon Lakes Golf Course.

D'Youville sits in eighth place after day one of competition, shooting a collective 390 as a team. The top golfer for the men on Saturday was Mackenzie Cox (Buffalo, NY/Bishop Timon St. Jude) with an 84 (+12) as the senior sits tied for 13th through 18 holes.

Justin Varney (Henrietta, NY/Rush-Henrietta) was number two with a score of 94 (+22) while Tyler Siegmann (Wheatfield, NY/Niagara-Wheatfield) shot a 105 (+33) for third on the team. Shane Critelli (Camden, NY/Camden) and Logan Lipowski (Williamsville, NY/Williamsville East) weren't too far off as the two shot 107 (+35) and 110 (+38) respectively.

Pitt.-Bradford, Penn State-Behrend, and Penn State-Altoona are all battling at the top after day one. Bradford leads with a team score of 320 while Behrend is four behind at 324. Altoona rounds out the top three with a team score of 329.

Day two of the tournament will come on Monday to conclude the 2019 golf season.
