Men Conclude AMCC Championship

Warren, OH - The D'Youville golf team concluded their 2019 season on Monday afternoon at the AMCC Championship at Avalon Lakes Golf Course.

D'Youville finished the two-day tournament in 8th place with a team score of 368 on day two - 22 strokes better than their day-one score. Their combined score of the two days was 758.

For the second consecutive day, Mackenzie Cox (Buffalo, NY/Bishop Timon St. Jude) was the top golfer for the men with a 91 (+19) as he finished 25th overall. Justin Varney (Henrietta, NY/Rush-Henrietta) took six strokes off his score from the first day to shoot an 88 (+16).

Tyler Siegmann (Wheatfield, NY/Niagara-Whetafield) showed the biggest drop in score from day one to day two as he took off 16 strokes with an 89 (+17) on day two. Logan Lipowski (Williamsville, NY/Williamsville East) also had a major improvement in score as he took 10 strokes off with a 100 (+28) on day two. Shane Critelli (Camden, NY/Camden) closed out the score for the men with a 109 (+37).

The team's 22-stroke improvement was the best amongst all nine teams at the championship.
