D'Youville Athletics Names Prince Head Men's Lacrosse Coach

D’Youville Athletics is proud to announce that Kameron Prince has been named as the first Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach. The Men’s Lacrosse program will have its inaugural season in the 2021-2022 academic year.

Director of Athletics Ona Halladay states, “I am thrilled to bring Kameron Prince on board as our first men’s lacrosse coach at D’Youville.  I am certain that Kameron’s diverse coaching experiences and success recruiting around the country will be exactly what we need to begin building the foundation of the Saints Men’s Lacrosse program on our campus in the heart of Buffalo. I believe that Kameron’s energy will fit perfectly with our athletic staff and be integral in continuing to provide our student-athletes a best in class experience at D’Youville.”

Kameron Prince joins D’Youville after two seasons with Earlham College, assisting Head Coach Blake Keenan, in the rebuilding of Earlham Men’s Lacrosse. Coach Keenan expressed “Kameron was instrumental to the growth and culture of our program. He is a tireless worker and will do whatever it takes to be successful and I know that drive will carry over to D’Youville as he builds his own program into a championship caliber one.”

Before Earlham College, Prince had multiple coaching roles in the metropolitan St. Louis region. As a graduate assistant coach at Missouri Baptist University, he specialized in coaching the defense and goalies, while handling all recruiting on the east coast. Simultaneous with his coaching duties at Missouri Baptist, Prince served as an assistant boys' lacrosse coach at Lindbergh High School in St. Louis and coached with the St. Louis Samurai Club program.

Prince played collegiately at Division II Pfeiffer University in North Carolina in 2011 and 2012, before transferring to UNC-Charlotte and playing for UNCC's club program for three seasons. Kameron received his bachelor’s degree in history from UNC-Charlotte in 2015 and earned his master’s degree in Sports Management from Missouri Baptist in 2019.

“First, I’d like to thank Ona Halladay and the rest of the D’Youville Athletics Department for this opportunity. Through the entire interview process I could tell this was the place for me. I’m looking forward to building the Men’s Lacrosse program from the ground up,” said Prince. “With the transition to Division II D’Youville is uniquely positioned for major success in the very near future and I can’t wait to be a part of the great things to come. Go Saints!!”
