Keuka Park, N.Y.- Spartan's Head Coach Brendan Murphy had nothing but praise for his team after tonight's 4-0 loss to Lakeside Invitational host Keuka College.
"I am unbelievably happy with our guys played this whole weekend. We have done a great job in just a short period of time understanding and implementing the defensive system we put in place," said Murphy.
Murphy explained, "Looking at the four goals, one was an own goal of a players shin, and three were off really well executed set plays. We didn't give up anything that wasn't really well executed by our opponent."
"There was no quit tonight, and I'm not just saying that. Ten minutes in we played a man down the rest of the night. We fought up to the end, even putting pressure on them late in the game."
The Spartan's next game is September 4 at Westminster College. The game will be played under the lights. Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m.
