Buffalo, NY - Following a week that saw him pick up a pair of points in two games, freshman defender HsaKlo Moo (Riverside, NY/McKinley) has been named AMCC Defensive Player of the Week.
In Wednesday's 8-1 victory over Hilbert, Moo tallied an assist and played an incredibly strong game on the defensive end to stifle the Hawks. Then on Saturday, Moo picked up the assist on the game-tying goal that sent the game into overtime. He also played a big role on the defensive end yet again and helped the team shut down Mount Aloysius throughout most of the game.
Once entering the starting lineup earlier this season, HsaKlo has not left. Moo has started nine consecutive games for the Spartans and been a very important player for them on the defensive wing.
Throughout his 13 games played this season, HsaKlo has been a key player in getting forward out of the back. His ability to dribble, pass, and make runs has added another wrinkle to the team's offense, but at the same time Moo's ability on the defensive end has been impressive for a first-year player.
