Men's Tennis Edged 5-4 by Penn State Behrend

Williamsville, NY-It was as close as you could get for the D'Youville men's tennis team. Visiting Penn State Behrend came away with the AMCC match with a 5-4 victory.

 The Spartans won in #1 doubles. The team of Robert amabile and Wei Yen Huang won 8-1.

The Spartans' number #2 doubles team of David Kulczyk and John Nazzarett needed tiebreaker to decide their match. The Spartan duo lost the tiebreak 7-1.

At #3 doubles, James Moran and Nathaniel Damon were defeated

In singles, Robert Amabile won the #1 match 6-1, 6-1. Wei Yen Huang won the #2 match 6-1, 6-1.

It was the first-career double win for freshman Huang.

In #3 singles, Nazzarett won the first set 6-4 then went out 6-3, 6-1

Davis Kulczyk won the #4 singles match 6-0, 6-1.

James Moran was defeated at #5 singles 6-2, 6-1 and Nathaniel Damon was stopped 6-1, 6-2 at #6 singles.

The next match for the Spartans is March 15 at Miller Tennis Center (Williamsville, NY) versus Houghton College. Start time is 1:00 p.m.
