Senozetnik Moves Into Second on Men's Volleyball Career Assist List

Pittsford, N.Y.-In the Spartan's second match at the Nazareth College Purple & Gold Invitational, Jay Senozetnik (Eden, NY/Eden)recorded his 3,40st1 career assist, passing the career total of 3,400 established by Gregg Rosowski (1998-2001), and moving the senior into second spot on the D'Youville men's volleyball career list.

Number 22 finished the Rivier match with 19 helpers, putting his climbing  career total at 3,406. Chris Krueger (Hamburg, NY/Hamburg) finished with a team-high 12 kills in the three-set loss to the fifteenth-ranked Raiders.

In their first match of the day, D'Youville was handed a three-set loss by Ramapo College.

"I'm thrilled for Jay," said D'Youville College Head coach John Hutton. "He has meant so much to our team the last four seasons and for his career to be acknowledged alongside the greats that have represented D'Youville says volumes about him as a player."

D'Youville continues play at the Nazareth Invitational tomorrow (March 23) at 11:00 a.m. The Spartans will face the hosts, the current #1 ranked team in the AVCA Division III Coaches' Poll. D'Youville closes the event with a 3:00 p.m. match versus Wells College.
