Buffalo, NY - The Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) released their preseason polls for men's volleyball on Wednesday afternoon.

D'Youville enters their first season under new head coach Chris Krueger - a former four-year player for the men's volleyball program. The team will enter 2020 with several fresh faces as they look to build a strong program.

Senior setter Karl Jauch (Lockport, NY/Starpoint) and junior middle blocker Ali Khadra (Williamsville, NY/Williamsville East) are poised to lead the team this season as the top two returning players from 2019. Jauch led the team with 572 assists, ranking fourth in digs and digs/set. Khadra was an extremely valuable player for the men as well, leading them with 83 blocks and 0.86 blocks/set while finishing third in kills with 165 and third in kills/set with 1.70.

Geneva College was pegged at the conference's favorite to win the championship title this coming season as reigning champion Thiel was voted to pick second. Penn State-Behrend was voted to finish third as they also were honored with having the AMCC Preseason Player of the Year - winner of the previous two AMCC Player of the Year Awards.

The Spartans will begin their season on Sunday, January 26 as they host Daemen to tip-off their season. You can see the entirety of the AMCC preseason poll at the AMCC website.
