Buffalo, N.Y.-In front of a sold out crowd at Pearl Street Grill that included D'Youville College President Sister Denise A. Roche, Athletics at D'Youville College announced their major departmental award winners along with the team award winners at the Spartan's Annual Dinner.
Head coach Bill Maloney presented the men's cross-country team awards.
Named the team's Most Valuable Runner was freshman Anthony Oliveri (Wheatfield, NY/Niagara-Wheatfield). Oliveri was the top Spartan finisher in all 6 events he ran and twice set a new program record in the eight-kilometer distance.
Senior Aung Kyaw (Mandalay, MYANMAR/Int. Language & Business Ctr.) was named the team's Most Improved Runner. Kyaw posted the team's second-best finish at the AMCC Championship.
Freshman Bradley Huff (Hamburg, NY/Frontier) was the recipient of the team's Spartan Award. That award is given to the player who best exemplifies the ideals of teamwork, desire, and dedication to their program.
