Mid-West Regionals, PA - A pair of male and female runners from the D'Youville Cross Country Teams participated in the NCAA Mid-West Regionals Saturday afternoon.
Sophomore Matthew Silver (Rome, NY/Rome Free Academy) and freshman Dalton Cerbone (Lyndonville, NY/Lyndonville) were the two male D'Youville runners who participated in regionals. Silver finished with a time of 28:11, while Cerbone finished with a time of 30:04 over the 8k course. There were 343 runners who participated in the Mid-West Regionals from Division III schools from several states.
For the women, junior Emily Quast (Lockport, NY/Lockport) and senior Maria Fusco (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa) represented D'Youville as the lone female runners sent. Quast completed the 6k course in a time of 25:37 and Fusco finished with a time of 28:29. The completion of the Mid-West Regionals marked the final race of Fusco's career at D'Youville. Fusco and Quast were 2 out of 370 runners that participated.
The conditions of the race were sunny and crisp.
