Six Spartan Runners Compete at Lehigh Invitational

Bethlehem, PA - The D'Youville men's cross country team ran an 8k at the Lehigh Invitational Saturday morning with over 6,000 runners competing.

Freshman Patrick Leslie (Horseheads, NY/Horseheads) ran the top time for the Spartans by finishing with a time of 30:08. Fellow freshman Jakob McDaneld (Silver Creek, NY/Silver Creek) was just under a minue behind Leslie with a time of 31:07.

Following were David Braun (Okinawa, Japan/Kadena) and Christopher Rumpl (Kenmore, NY/Kenmore East) with times a second off one another. Braun was the third D'Youville runner with a time of 33:05 while Rumpl was a right on his tail with a tie of 33:06.

Rounding out the D'Youville runners were Andrew Tantalo (Greece, NY/Home School) and Matthew Buttaggi (Penfield, NY/Webster Schroeder) with times of 33:13 and 37:17 respectively. 

D'Youville will run again next Saturday, October 8th in the Meghan Memorial, hosted by Hilbery College.
