Morris, NY – The D'Youville men's cross country team ran to a 20th place finish on Saturday afternoon at the Mike Woods Geneseo Cross Country Invitational.
Patrick Moran (Wheatfield, NY/Niagara County Community College) was once again the top runner for the Spartans, finish in 60th place with a time of 27:57.5 in the 8k. David Oswald (Hamburg, NY/Hamburg) was the next D'Youville runner to cross the finish line after running a 31:09.8. Following right behind him was Zach Bochacki (West Seneca, NY/West Seneca West) with a personal record in the 8k of 31:27.9.
A third member of the Spartan's team was Tylor Muscarella (Geneseo, NY/Geneseo Central) as he ran the race in 31:47.5. Dalton Holthouse (Clymer, NY/Clymer) clocked in a time of 33:39.1 while Joseph Frailey (Grand Island, NY/Grand Island) ran a 35:30.4 and Simeon Heard (Rochester, NY/Charles Finney) had a time of 37:16.5.
John Whittington (Buffalo, NY/Buffalo Academy for the Visual and Performing Arts) and Jevon (Buffalo, NY/Buffalo Academy for the Visual and Performing Arts) finished with nearly identical times of 42:12.6 for John and 42:16.7 for Jevon. Edward Apen (East Aurora, NY/Home School) finished the 8k with a time of 43:44.0 and Matthew Buttaggi (Penfield, NY/Webster-Schroeder) came in at 44:30.3.
The next race for the men will be next Saturday, October 6 at the Meghan Memorial, hosted by Hilbert.
