Buffalo, NY - Junior runner Patrick Moran (Wheatfield, NY/Niagara CCC) was the top runner for the D'Youville men's cross country team throughout the season and at the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Championships, Moran was again the top runner for the Spartans and was named an AMCC All-Conference selection.
Moran began his first season with the team with a third place finish at the Buffalo State Invitational in the 5k. He then ran his best 5k time of the season three races later at the Meghan Memorial when he took first overall with a time of 17:37.
In 8k races, Patrick ran his best time at the AMCC Championship with a time of 27:53.95, finishing ninth overall. In the two other 8k races of the Harry F. Anderson Invitational, the Mike Woods Invitational, and the Cross Country only Championship, Moran's times were at most nine second apart from his best time of the season.
In all seven races this season, Moran was the top runner for the men. He had five top-10 finishes, including two first place finishes, one third, and one fourth. He was consistently the best runner for D'Youville and helped set the pace for his teammates.
