Moran Named AMCC Runner of the Week

Buffalo, NY - Following yet another strong week for the men, senior Patrick Moran (Wheatfield, NY/NCCC) has been named AMCC Runner of the Week.

Moran took first overall at the Meghan Memorial on Saturday morning, helping the team take second overall. Patrick finished the Meghan Memorial 5k with a time of 16:46 - the fastest time of all participating runners. The next runner from a participating team finished over two minutes behind.

In every race this season, Moran has finished first overall for the men and he owns the records for the 5 and 8k races. To begin the season as the Buffalo State Invitational, Patrick took second overall.

Last season, Moran again finished first in every race in which he ran for the Spartans. At season's end he was an AMCC All-Conference runner and the team's MVP.

Moran attended Starpoint High School where he played football and participated in track and field. At D'Youville he is a Physical Therapy major and the son of David Moran and Yvonne Rieger.
