MacKenzie Kehlenbeck Represents D'Youville, AMCC at NCAA Convention

Buffalo, NY-D'Youville College sophomore MacKenzie Kehlenbeck (Oakfield, NY/Oakfield-Alabama) was selected to be an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference representative for the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) at the NCAA Convention January 16-19 in San Diego.

The role of the SAAC is to give the student-athlete a voice in the policy making process of the NCAA.  SAAC representatives at the NCAA Convention review and discuss how pending legislation will affect the welfare of the student-athlete and make recommendations to the voting delegates.

At the Convention, Kehlenbeck's voice will be that of the student-athletes at D'Youville College and the AMCC in regards to upcoming legislation that will be voted.

This is the sophomore's second year as a member of the D'Youville Student Athlete Advisory Committee. Off the field Kehlenbeck is a Resident Assistant, a member of the D'Youville Student Association, and an active participant in many community service initiatives on campus.

After representing at the NCAA Convention, the Spartans' shortstop will begin to gear up for softball practice. Outstanding on the field as well as off, in her freshman year last spring Kehlenbeck was First-Team All-Conference, Conference Newcomer of the Year, and named  D'Youville College Female Student-Athlete of the Year.
