Buffalo, NY - With two wins a piece, Saturday's Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) doubleheader between the Pitt.-Greensburg Bobcats and the D'Youville Spartans has been selected as the AMCC Game of the Week.

The D'Youville softball team comes into Saturday's game with a 2-0 conference record after sweeping the Hilbert Hawks on March 27. In game one of doubleheader, Alexa Haberer (Derby, NY/Lake Shore) was the story as she pitched her first career no-hitter in the 8-0 victory. Game two saw the bats of the Spartans stay hot as they took home a 6-1 victory.

In their non-conference doubleheader on Wednesday against Brockport, the D'Youville bats continued to produce with 10 total runs in the doubleheader. Ashley Carney (Clarence, NY/Clarence) and Rachel Colan (Grand Island, NY/Grand Island) hit their first career home runs with Brittaney Goodrich (Eden, NY/Eden) adding her first of the season.

Haberer has gotten the job done in the circle and at the plate this season. She leads the team with three wins, 32 strikeouts, 51.1 innings pitched, and a 4.91 ERA, but also leads the team with nine RBI, has collected nine hits, two doubles, two triples, and is batting .290.

Megan Meyer (Cheektowaga, NY/Maryvale) has been a key contributor to the offense with a team high 18 hits and .419 batting average – fourth in the AMCC. Carney is coming on strong as of late as she is second on the team with 15 hits and is hitting .341 with a team high nine runs scored. Victoria Purucker (North Tonawanda, NY/Starpoint) has been a strong producer at the plate with a .333 batting average while Goodrich is second on the team with eight RBI.

Rylie Russo (Hamburg, NY/Frontier) and Mikaela Milleville (Niagara Falls, NY/Niagara-Wheatfield) have had strong offensive seasons for the women as well.

The Bobcats dropped a doubleheader against Washington & Jefferson on Wednesday where they fell in both games. The team is currently 2-2 in the AMCC and 6-16 overall. Greensburg has split each of their previous conference doubleheaders against Penn State-Altoona and Franciscan.

Saturday's doubleheader will begin at 1:00pm with game two to follow at 3:00pm. You can view a preview at the AMCC website.
