D'Youville got on the board first in the bottom of the first inning of game one as Ashley Carney (Clarence, NY/Clarence) singled to begin the bottom of the inning. She would advance to second as Rylie Russo (Hamburg, NY/Frontier) was hit by a pitch. Megan Meyer (Cheektowaga, NY/Maryvale) would then lay down a sac-bunt to move the runners over. A sac-fly from Brittaney Goodrich (Eden, NY/Eden) then scored Carney from third for a 1-0 Spartan lead.
The top of the second saw the Bobcats take the lead with two runs, but the Spartans would respond with a run in the bottom of the inning. Rachel Colan (Grand Island, NY/Grand Island) reached on a fielder's choice with two outs. She moved over with a Mikaela Milleville (Niagara Falls, NY/Niagara-Wheatfield) walk. Carney then came back up for the second time in two innings to drive in Colan on a single as the score was tied 2-2 after two.
Once the second consecutive inning, Greensburg would respond as they scored three runs to lead 5-2. The bottom of the fourth saw Colan and Carney combine again for another run. After reaching on an error, Colan reached second on a wild pitch. Carney would then double to bring home Colan and make the score 5-3.
With a run in the top of the seventh, the Bobcats would put the game away as they would win by the final score of 6-3.

With one out in the second, Purucker walked. She then moved to second in the next at-bat. Milleville would then come to bat, doubling down the left field line to score Purucker and give D'Youville the 2-0 lead. In the next inning, the lead would be cut in half with a Greensburg run, making the score 2-1.
The Spartans would get back on the board in the bottom of the fourth as Purucker again reached base as she walked to begin the inning. She moved over to second on a Colan sac-bunt as the bases would become loaded with a Carney walk and a Jordan Hartman (Lake View, NY/Frontier) pinch-hit single. Meyer would then come to the plate, walking and bringing in Purucker for a 3-1 lead.
