Sarah Marino begins her second season as an assistant coach for the Spartans after being a dual-sport athlete for four seasons at D'Youville.
In her time as an undergraduate student at D'Youville, Sarah played both women's basketball and softball. Marino played four years for each team, saving a career year for her senior basketball season. She played in 21 games, starting 15 and averaged career highs in PPG (5.3), RPG (3.5), and APG (1.3). Her contributions to the team over the previous three seasons totaled 83 games, 15.4 MPG, 77.8 FT%, and 2.2 RPG.
As for Sarah's softball career, she consistently contributed throughout her four-year career. Her best season came as a sophomore where she hit .242 with 24 hits, 13 RBI, six doubles, and five runs scored in 33 games - all which were career highs.
Throughout her athletic careers, Sarah was a great leader and has been well respected by her teammates and opponents. She was an AMCC Sportsmanship Team honoree in both sports and was a team captain for both teams as well. She served as an assistant coach for the softball team in 2017-18 following her playing career.
