Shannon Dougherty Named to All-Conference Team

Buffalo, NY-Shannon Dougherty (West Seneca, NY/West Seneca West) capped her third season as a Spartan with her first career All-Conference nod.  Dougherty was recognized with a Third-Team selection from the Allegheny Mountain College Conference. 

Dougherty was sixth among conference players in three-point field-goal percentage (36.5%) and eighth in made three-point baskets (1.7). In 18 AMCC contests, Dougherty averaged 10.9 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game. 

Twice this season Dougherty scored more than 20 points in a conference game. In one of those games, February 1 at home versus Franciscan, she tied a career-high with 24 points.

With an 9-9 record in league play, the Spartans qualified for their first AMCC Tournament since joining the league in 2009-10. Overall the Spartans were 11-15 and posted their highest win total since the 2008-09 season.
