Buffalo, NY - Freshman guard Danielle Hore (Orchard Park, NY/Orchard Park) has been a force for the D'Youville women's basketball team early in her career and has been named Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Player of the Week.
On Monday against Elmira, Hore scored a career high 21 points for her second 20-point game in as many tries this season. She then scored 13 points to go with eight rebounds and six assists on Friday in the team's loss to Brockport.
Then on Saturday, Danielle recorded the best all-around game of her young career in the team's 74-63 win over Morrisville. Hore scored 15 points with 14 rebounds, eight assists, seven steals, and four blocks in the team's second win of the season - nearly recording a quadruple-double. She played the most out of any Spartan with 38 minutes as she has become a focal-point and leader of the team.
The freshman currently leads the team in scoring with 17.3 PPG and rebounding with 9.3 RPG. She also leads the team with 5.8 APG, 3.3 SPG, and 1.3 BPG while ranking third in the AMCC in scoring and fourth in rebounding.
Danielle played four years of basketball at Orchard Park High School, earning team MVP and a Second Team All-WNY appearance during her career. She also played one season of soccer.
At D'Youville, Danielle is an Exercise and Sports Studies major. Her career goal is to become a personal trainer of a Physical Therapy Assistant. On why she chose D'Youville, Hore said "It was close to home and the people here were so nice. D'Yoouville is a very good school for academics."
Danielle is the daughter of David and Shari Hore. She also has a twin brother.
