Buffalo, NY - Sophomore guard Danielle Hore (Orchard Park, NY/Orchard Park) of the D'Youville women's basketball team had an outstanding week for the Spartans, earning Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Player of the Week.
In the AMCC Game of the Week on Wednesday, Hore nearly recorded her second triple-double of the season in the team's 75-68 victory over Penn State-Behrend. Danielle scored 15 points with 16 rebounds, eight assists, five steals, and a block in the win.
She then followed up with her second consecutive double-double in the 62-58 win over Penn State-Altoona on Saturday for the second consecutive win for the women. Hore scored 19 points with 14 rebounds, five assists, and four steals.
With the two wins, D'Youville moved into third place in the AMCC standings. Danielle played 39 minutes in both games as she currently leads the team in points, rebounds, assists, steals, and minutes per game amongst players that have played in at least 60% of the team's games.
Earlier this season, Danielle recorded her first triple-double with 10 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists against Pitt.-Bradford earlier this month. It was the first point/rebound/assist triple-double in program history.
As a freshman, Danielle played in 25 games, starting all 25. She finished the season first in points (14.7 points/game), rebounds (9.7 rebounds/game), assists (5.6 assists/game), minutes (37.3 minutes/game) as well second in three-point percentage (30.1), steals (2.7 steals/game) fifth in field goal percentage (39.1%). She recorded 23 games with double-digit scoring and 10 double-doubles. In addition, Hore is the reigning AMCC Newcomer of the Year and an AMCC Second Team All-Conference selection as a freshman.
