Women Take Fourth in First AMCC Round Robin

Erie, PA - The D'Youville women's bowling team finished off their first ever AMCC round robin by taking fourth place overall in the two-day tournament.

D'Youville defeated three tough opponents on Sunday in the baker format matches. The women took down Hilbert 905-706, Penn State-Behrend 711-690, and La Roche 821-677. St. Vincent - winner of the round robin tournament - was the only loss by the Spartans as they played them close with an 867-941 loss.

The 905 from D'Youville in their match against Hilbert was the high baker game total for the entire tournament. It was a strong effort from the women as each match was a total of five games with the total pinfall from each team being the final score.

A strong Sunday had the women finish the tournament with a 6-3 record in the nine matches. Their 7,347 total pinfall was fourth highest in the tournament and their 163.3 average was also the fourth highest.

The women will next host Penn State-Behrend on Tuesday, February 18.
