Buffalo, NY - The Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) released their 2018 preseason polls on Tuesday morning, with one Spartan selected as the conference's best at her position.
Senior goalkeeper Megan Dulniak (Cheektowaga, NY/Cheektowaga) was selected as the AMCC Preseason Defensive Player of the Year, cementing herself as the top goalkeeper in the AMCC. Megan's 2017 performance was one of the best in program history - as she has started to break records in her junior season. With nine shutouts and 148 saves (both career highs), Megan set both the shutout and save record at D'Youville. She was a major factor in the team reaching the AMCC playoffs as the fourth overall seed and advanced to the semi-finals. In the semi-finals against the top seeded Penn State-Behrend Lions and eventual champions, Dulniak recorded a shutout through regulation and double overtime, tallying a school record 28 saves in the game. She was named an AMCC Second Team All-Conference player at seasons end.
