Buffalo, NY - With the conclusion of the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) playoffs coming to a close, the conference has announced their all-tournament team.
Senior goalkeeper Megan Dulniak (Cheektowaga, NY/Cheektowaga) and senior center back Magan Magee (Ellenburg Center, NY/Northern Adirondack) were primary reasons for the team's run to the AMCC semi-finals last week. In the quarter-finals against Franciscan, Magee scored the second goal of the game and assisted a defense that allowed no goals in their first round victory. Dulniak made four saves in the shutout for her seventh of the season.
In the AMCC semi-finals, the women allowed just one goal on a penalty shot as they turned in another strong performance against the conference's runner-up in the AMCC playoffs, the Mount Aloysius Mounties. Dulniak made five saves while Magee was again an important player on the back line.
D'Youville had an outstanding conference schedule as they made the playoffs as the third overall seed with a 5-2-2 record. All five of their wins came via shutout and outside of one game, the women allowed just two goals in eight games.
Penn State-Behrend claimed the conference championship on Saturday after defeating the Mounties 1-0.
You can see the full all-tournament team and recap from the championship at the AMCC website.
