Buffalo, NY - Junior Cassie Brooks (Grand Island, NY/Grand Island) had yet another impressive game at both ends of the field in Saturday's 2-1 victory over La Roche, earning herself AMCC Defensive Player of the Week honors.
Brooks tallied her second assist of the season on the team's first goal of the game in the win rainy and windy win over the Redhawks Saturday afternoon. On the defensive end, Cassie helped limit La Roche to just eight shots, five of which were on goal.
At both ends of the field, Cassie has been impressive and important part of the team's success. She is tied for the team lead in assists and is tied for second in goals with two – all from her left back position.
