Buffalo, NY - Freshman forward Jordan Pachla (Grand Island, NY/Grand Island) had a pair of monster performances last week, earning her AMCC Offensive Player of the Week honors this week.
Beginning last Tuesday against Alfred State, Pachla scored her 8th goal of the season as she netted the game-winner in the 63rd minute on a beautiful free kick as the Spartans won 3-1. Then in the team's first round playoff game on Saturday, Jordan netted the game winner in the 82nd minute to lift D'Youville to a 2-1 playoff victory over Penn State-Altoona.
With her two goals last week, Jordan has now scored in three consecutive games and scored in four of the last five games with five goals total. Since October 1, the Spartans have played nine games with Pachla scoring in six of them with a total of seven goals.
As a freshman this season, Pachla is second on the team in goals (9), points (21), and is tied for second in assists (3). She has shown a knack for scoring in clutch situations but has also established herself as one of the team's offensive leaders.
Jordan is a graduate of Grand Island High School where she played soccer for four years. She earned Second and Third Team All-League honors while also playing club soccer for GPS.
On why she chose D'Youville, Jordan said, "Great physical therapy program and close to home." Pachla is an Exercise and Sports Studies major and the daughter of James and Holly Pachla.
