Buffalo, NY-In a two-hour match in front of a lively College Center crowd, Brockport State rallied from a 2-1 deficit to beat host D'Youville in five sets.
Brockport won the first set 25-19. D'Youville took the next two 25-24 and 25-17. Brockport won the fourth 25-14 and the deciding fifth-set 15-8.
Lara Svensson (Tonawanda, NY/Sweet Home) snared a match-high 24 digs. Luciana Payne (Buffalo, NY/Mount St. Mary Academy) had a team-high nine kills followed by Emily McDonald (North Syracuse, NY/Liverpool) with seven kills. Molly Minkiewicz (West Seneca, NY/West Seneca West) added six kills and a match-high four blocks for D'Youville (1-2).
D'Youville will play in the University of Rochester Tournament September 7-8.
