89 D'Youville Student-Athletes Named to Academic All-Conference Team

89 D'Youville Student-Athletes Named to Academic All-Conference Team

Buffalo, NY-A total of 89 D'Youville College student-athletes were named by the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference to the All-Academic Team.

A student-athlete must have achieved a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or higher as of Fall 2013 to earn the honor of being named to the 2013-14 Academic All-Conference Team.

56 of those Spartans named received the distinction of the Individual Peak Performer award for having a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better.

There were 17 Spartans student-athletes selected for induction to Chi Alpha Sigma, the National Collegiate Student-Athlete Honor Society which recognizes both academic performance, leadership, and character.

The D'Youville College men's soccer team had the best team grade point average out of the 10 men's soccer programs in the conference and received an AMCC Team Peak Performer Award.

Women's volleyball had the most players of any team named to the AMCC All-Academic Team, a total of 13 of the 17 roster players (76.4%) were honored.

Those selected were honored April 7 at a lunch event that kicked off NCAA Division III Student-Athlete Week:
