Women Finish Third at AMCC Championship

Steubenville, OH – The D'Youville women's cross country team capped off an outstanding 2018 season with a third place team finish at the AMCC Championship on Saturday morning.

D'Youville finished behind the champion Franciscan Barons and the second place Penn State-Behrend Lions. The Spartans had an average time of 30:15.10 in the 6k as they finished with a team score of 99.

Rachel Luczak (Lancaster, NY/Immaculata) was the top runner for the women with a 16th place finish and a time of 27:29.48. Kaitlyn Furtado (Acushnet, MA/Fairhaven) followed closely behind Luczak with a time of 29:27.39 and came in 18th place overall. To round out the top-three for the Spartans, Stephanie Lisiecki (West Seneca, NY/West Seneca East) finished with a time of 29:35.91 and a 19th place finish.

Jenna Donati (Depew, NY/Depew), Rachel Johnson (Jamestown, NY/Jamestown), Joanna Elledge (Lockport, NY/Wilson), and Danielle Couch (Wheatfield, NY/Niagara-Wheatfield) all finished inside the top-30.
