Erie, PA - The D'Youville women's cross country team took on their first 6k of the season on Friday afternoon, racing at the Penn State-Behrend Invitational.
Rachel Luczak (Lancaster, NY/Immaculata) finished as the top runner for the Spartans as she came in 33rd overall with a time of 27:03. The next finisher for the women was Stephanie Lisiecki (West Seneca, NY/West Seneca East) with a time of 30:26 and Kaitlyn Furtado (Acushnet, MA/Fairhaven) rounded out the top three.
Danielle Couch (Wheatfield, NY/Niagara-Wheatfield) and Alison Gareis (Buffalo, NY/Buffalo Seminary) would finish back to back as Mary Blackley (Lockport, NY/Blackley Academy) was close behind as all three finished the race in under 37 minutes. Alexis Dymond (Kenmore, NY/Kenmore West) and Jenna Donati (Depew, NY/Depew) completed the finishers for the women.
The next race for D'Youville will come on Saturday, September 21 as they head to the Harry F. Anderson Invitational.
