Chili, NY - The D'Youville women's cross country team wrapped up the Harry F. Anderson Invitational on Saturday morning.
The team finished 15th overall, one spot behind Alfred State and four spots ahead of Medaille.
Rachel Luczak (Lancaster, NY/Immaculata) was the top runner for the Spartans for the second consecutive week with a time of 21:50 in the 5k. Stephanie Lisiecki (West Seneca, NY/West Seneca East) followed Luczak with a time of 24:33.
Kaitlyn Furtado (Acushnet, MA/Fairhaven) was the third place runner for D'Youville as she came in with the time of 27:43. Danielle Couch (Wheatfield, NY/Niagara-Wheatfield) and Mary Blackley (Lockport, NY/Blackley Academy) both finished under 29 minutes with times of 28:08 and 28:39.
Both Jenna Donati (Depew, NY/Depew) and 0 ran strong races to complete a good showing from the women on Saturday.
The race was hosted by Roberts Wesleyan College and had over 220 participants.
D'Youville will race again in a week as they will run in the Geneseo Invitational next Saturday, September 28 for a 6k race.
