In addition to his women's soccer coaching duties, Jim Hesch has taken on the title of Dobson Field Manager.

Jim handles all aspects of Dobson Field. He creates the Dobson Field master calendar, creates contracts with renters, schedules all activity from a rental and student-use basis (open field time), and communicating with the campus on all Dobson Field related activities.

In addition to the above listed duties, Jim coordinates field maintenance, coordinates with security, hires field workers, supervises field workers, and serves as a game manager to several home events.

As a collegiate player, Hesch won a national championship with Southern Connecticut University in 1990 before transferring to Cortland State, where he played from 1991-93 and was named a first-team All-America. He earned his bachelor’s degree in physical education in 1994. Jim played in the National Professional Indoor Soccer League from 1995-2002, which included a stint with the Buffalo Blizzard from 1999-2000.

Hesch currently holds his USSF National "A" Coaching License as well as USSF National "Youth" Coaching License.  Hesch currently resides in Amherst with his wife Linda, daughter Ryan (13) and son Connor (11).
