Buffalo, NY - The Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) released their 2018-19 women's basketball all-conference team's on Tuesday afternoon with one Spartan placing amongst the conference's best.
Freshman point guard Danielle Hore (Orchard Park, NY/Orchard Park) was one of the best players in the entire conference this season. As just a freshman, Hore finished second in the AMCC in assists (5.7 APG), third in steals (2.6 SPG) and rebounds (9.7 RPG), fourth in minutes (36.7 MPG), and sixth in scoring (14.7 PPG).
In 23 of 25 games this season, Danielle scored in double-figures for the women - including four games of 20-plus. Danielle grabbed double-figure rebounds in 11 games with six of those games of 14 or more rebounds. Hore's playmaking was also incredible as she dished out five or more assists in 19 games and had at least two assists in every game. In 18 games, Danielle recorded two or more steals and she played 35 minutes or more in 20 of 25 games as a freshman.
Hore's incredible freshman season included eight double-doubles and three near triple-doubles. Against Mount Aloysius on 2/2, Hore came within one assist of a triple-double with a 16 point, 10 rebound, nine assist performance. On 11/17 against Morrisville State, Danielle came close to recording a quadruple-double in just her fourth collegiate game with 15 points, 14 rebounds, eight assists, and seven steals.
On her team, Danielle led the way in points, rebounds, assists, minutes, steals, field goal percentage, and free throw percentage as well as finishing second in three-point percentage. All-in-all, Hore put together one of the best seasons in program history and in the conference overall, not just for a freshman. She was named AMCC Player of the Week twice.
