Monica June joined the D'Youville women's basketball coaching staff in the summer of 2019 after a fantastic playing career for the women's basketball team.
By the end of her four-year career with the women, June ranked 10th all-time in scoring with 795 and is ninth all-time in assists with 166.
Her senior season ended strong as Monica was second on the team in assists (2.9 APG), third in scoring (11.7 PPG), fourth in rebounding (3.9 RPG), and started 24 of 25 games played. She scored a season-high 22 points twice.
As a junior in 2017-18, Monica played in 25 games, starting 21. She led the team in scoring (11.2 PPG), was second in minutes (27.3 MPG), assists (2.1 APG), and steals (1.1 SPG), fourth in FG% (37.1). June Recorded 16 games of double-figure scoring and scored a career high 29 against La Roche on 2/17/18. She was a team captain and named the team's Most Valuable Player.
In her sophomore season, June played in 24 games, starting three. She finished the season fourth on team in scoring with 6.9 PPG, tied for third with 1.4 APG and 1.1 SPG. Her freshman season saw per play in 22 games and average 2.6 PPG.
June is currently enrolled in the Nursing program at D'Youville.
