Len Leads Women's Bowling to Third Place in First Day of AMCC Round Robin

Cresson, PA - The D'Youville women's bowling team completed their first day of the AMCC Round Robin on Saturday afternoon, standing in third place.

D'Youville went 4-1 on their first day of action, knocking down a total of 4,026 pins and an average of 161.0. The women defeated the likes of Penn State-Altoona (786-644), Hilbert (768-651), Pitt.-Bradford (872-757), and La Roche (782-656) on Saturday for their four wins. Their lone loss came against Penn State-Behrend (818-834) - the second place team.

Ashley Len (Lancaster, NY/Lancaster) has been one of the best overall bowlers at the round robin, placing second in individual rankings at the end of day one. She has knocked down a total of 1,032 pins - one pin behind the leader. Chloe Strong (Tonawanda, NY/Kenmore West) has helped the women rank near the top of the tournament as she is in tenth place with 857 total pins.

Rebecca Hennessy (Grand Island, NY/Grand Island) had a strong showing with 737 total pins while Emily Williams (Colden, NY/Springville) stands at 588 total pins. Allison Imiola (Hamburg, NY/Frontier) has knocked down 525 with Rebecca Weiss (Williamsville, NY/Mt. St. Mary Academy) at 287 in two games.

Day two will resume tomorrow at Mount Aloysius.
