Bowling Advances to AMCC Finals After AMCC Round Robin Final Day

Cresson, PA - The D'Youville women's bowling team finished off the AMCC Round Robin on Sunday, placing fourth and advancing to the AMCC Finals.

D'Youville finished the weekend 6-3 overall as they went 2-2 on Sunday to end the weekend in fourth place. The Spartans had a total pinfall of 7,379 and an average of 164.0 pins/game. 

The host Mount Aloysius Mounties took first with a record of 8-1, winning the tie-breaker over Medaille who finished in second at 8-1. St. Vincent took third with a 7-2 record.

Ashley Len (Lancaster, NY/Lancaster) had another outstanding performance, finishing as the third best individual bowler. Len had a game average of 186.67 pins/game while knocking down a total of 1,680. 

Chloe Strong (Tonawanda, NY/Kenmore West) finished the weekend in 11th with an average of 167.44 and 1,507 total pins. Rebecca Hennessy (Grand Island, NY/Grand Island) came in 15th with an average of 152.66 and 1,507 total pins while Emily Williams (Colden, NY/Springville) was 17th with an average of 169.88 and 1,359 total pins.

Allison Imiola (Hamburg, NY/Frontier) and Rebecca Weiss (Colden, NY/Springville) each had strong weekends and contributed to the women's fourth place finish.

D'Youville began Sunday by defeating Medaille 902-838, but then fell to Mount Aloysius 788-987 in their second match. They would then fall to St. Vincent 830-866, but close out the weekend on a victory by defeating New Jersey City 833-739.
