Lauren Ciurzynski is in her fifth season as head women's crew coach at D'Youville College after graduating from D'Youville with a Bachelors degree in Exercise and Sports Studies.
As a student-athlete at D'Youville, Lauren was a rower on the women's crew team and hold's the school record for the 2k. She rowed in the stroke and coxswain positions. Following her time as a student-athlete, Lauren served two years as an assistant coach for the women's crew team before taking over as head coach in 2015.
Currently, Ciurynski works as a personal trainer for all demographics at Chris-fit in Niagara Falls, NY. Her passion for successful performance and athletics has influenced her training principals allowing her to lead clients to their goals while systematically reducing the risk of injury. She is also an American council on exercise certified personal trainer.
In high school, Lauren was a cross country runner, track and field athlete and competitive swimmer and danced 17 years. Currently she is competitive in powerlifting and hold NYS and Pennsylvania state records in each lift across two weigh classes.
