Title: Assistant Women's Soccer Coach

Alexis Kroese enters her second season as an assistant coach for the D'Youville women's soccer team in 2019.

Kroese comes to D'Youville after a four-year playing career at Canisius College. A key defensive player for the Golden Griffs, Alexis was a regular on the field and starting lineup. 

During her senior season, Kroese started all five games in which she played and tallied two assists before injuries cut her season short. As a junior, Alexis started 18 of the 20 games she played and was a major reason the team recorded three shutouts.

In 2013 as a sophomore, Alexis played in 10 games and started seven, but missed a large portion of the season due to injuries. As a freshman, Kroese played in 17 games and started 12 in addition to tallying her first career assist.

With her experience on defense, Kroese has been a major asset to team that tallied six shutouts in her first season as an assistant coach.

Alexis graduated from Williamsville North High School where she played four years. She finished her career with 32 goals and 22 assists and was named an ECIC First Team and All-Western New York First Team as a senior and junior. Her senior season saw her named captain and a First Team All-State selection.

As a sophomore and freshman, Alexis was an ECIC Second Team selection. She played five seasons for the nationally ranked Buffalo Soccer Academy, winning  three New York State Cups.
