Buffalo, NY - With the 2019 season in the books, the AMCC released their all-conference selections earlier this week with one Spartans amongst the conference's best.
Senior Dena Iadanza (Vestal, NY/Vestal) earned AMCC Second Team All-Conference honors for the number three singles position, announced the conference earlier this week.
At the third singles slot, Dena went a perfect 5-0 as she earned huge points for the women. Four of the five wins Iadanza had this season came in wins for the Spartans, meaning Dena played a direct role in four of the five conference wins for D'Youville this season. Her contributions to the team played a key role in the team reaching the playoffs for the second consecutive season.
Throughout her entire career, Dena has been entrenched at the number three singles slot for the women. Each and every season, Iadanza increased her win totals not only as a singles, but as a doubles player as well.
At Vestal High School, Iadanza played four years of tennis and was named a Scholar Athlete, earned the Varsity Award, was a Section IV Champion and played in the sectional qualifiers. She also ran one year of track and field and played club tennis for the Binghamton Junior Tennis Team.
Dena is in the Exercise and Sports Studies program and the daughter of Tricia Robinson and Michael Iadanza.
